$65 bucks gets you some socializing with fellow beer lovers, plus 5 courses of our fine fare paired with black IPAs, porters and stouts. Cicerone certified beer sommelier Heather Christian from Hohenstein's will team up with our very own Alison McMullen and chef Chris Stevens to present this anti-Valentine's Day/pro-beer love dinner.

Holiday Hours

The restaurant will be CLOSED on Saturday 12/24 and Sunday 12/25 to celebrate Christmas with our families and friends. We wish you all the best of the holiday season!

Other than that, it's business as usual here! Definitely stop by during the week for some post-shopping stress relief. We're here for you.

Beginning Monday 12/26, we'll be offering our special holiday menu 10 plates = $65 (in addition to our usual menu. Meant for two people, it's a fun way to celebrate the best part of the holiday season: sharing a meal and sharing some time with friends and family.

Monthly menu change today! The online menu is ready for a sneak peek- or stop in tonight to taste it for yourself.

We're sad to see the summer ingredients and dishes go, but we look forward to the offerings of autumn. A few of our favorite autumnal things, in no particular order: beets, brussels sprouts, squash, apples, pickling and preserving, long braises, hot apple cider, bread pudding, sour & nut brown ales, biking around town wearing scarves and flannel, wool blankets, road tripping to the North Shore for fall color (stop at the New Scenic Cafe along the way), backyard campfires... enjoy your autumn, and we hope to hear about your favorite things.

38th Street Celebrated

This year's Celebrate 38 was a success! Thank you for hitting the street to celebrate with us last Saturday. Kelly served up some tasty chili and cornbread, and Alison enjoyed handing out prizes at the kiddie duck pond. The weather couldn't have been nicer. We're already planning next year's party!

Our $1 chili + cornbread and the kiddie game raised $250, which will be donated to another 38th Street neighbor- Sabathani Community Center. For more information on the wonderful things they do for our community, visit their website.

Eat for Art = $1100 raised!

Thank you to everyone who dined with us last Thursday the 22nd. Your support of our restaurant and art in the neighborhood allowed us to donate $1100 to the Kingfield Neighborhood Association.

Eating for Art is an annual Kingfield/Lyndale event. Participating restaurants pledge a certain percentage of their day's sales to Eating for Art, which in turn uses funds raised for community-based art programs in our neighborhood. This year's donations will go toward art projects to be included in the upcoming Nicollet Avenue reconstruction.

We opened our doors on July 7, 2007 with much anticipation. What kind of people will visit us? Who will work at the restaurant? What's it going to be like to quit our "real" jobs to put all of our faith into this? Will we be able to pull it off? Will we burn out? Are we making a mistake?

We're feeling really grateful and loved today. We thank our staff for toughing it out with us, our customers for sticking with us, our friends and families for their unbelievably deep understanding. We continue to look forward with much anticipation! Cheers!
